Clean Air Roadshows

Local authorities around the UK have been instructed by the UK government to explore if clean air zones would be an effective way to reduce harmful emissions in pollution hotspots.

A clean air zone is described by the government as a defined geographic area where targeted action is taken to improve air quality. It can take the form of either a charging or non-charging scheme.

In charging zones, HGVs and vans not meeting Euro-6 emissions standard for diesel and Euro-4 for petrol face paying a significant fee to enter affected towns and cities.

To explain how the new regulations will impact on commercial operators, Motor Transport is working with local authorities to bring you a series of free, half-day roadshows.

You’ll hear from policy-makers, technical experts, vehicle suppliers and your peers as we guide you
through the preparation plans for these important new rules.
